Geeking out.
As of yesterday, I now have dual monitors on my work computer. The primary one is a 17″ Dell Trinitron. The secondary (and new addition) is a little 14″ Dell flatscreen that’s been sitting around collecting dust. The beauty of this setup: I use a 4-port KVM switch to work on several different computers at a time using the same keyboard, video, and mouse. The flatscreen is connected directly to my main computer, and I added a dedicated USB mouse that doesn’t switch. Now, when working on another computer, I can still pull up notes, email, the web, etc. without having to continually press the little select button which toggles through the system. Whether you believe me or not, this is cool. I can never go back.
