Why world peace is unattainable: Reason #4542.

Keyboard and Mouse cords

I call your attention to the keyboard and mouse cables. The one on the left, the purple one, is the keyboard. The one on the left, the green one, is the mouse. The cables are part of a Belkin KVM switch setup. The computer is a newer Gateway box—older Gateways maintain the orange and purple color scheme on both machine and factory keyboard/mouse. Really old Gateways will let you have any color you like, so long as it is gray. The newer Dell that sits on my desk has the purple and green scheme, as do many of the homebrew jobs we have sitting around camp. I do not know if this issue has been submitted to an International Standards Body yet. If it ever is, expect bloodshed.

Note: Apologies for the blurry photo. This is what ~$40 will get you in a digital camera. You’d think I was photographing the Loch Ness monster or something.
