Todays’ word is: Word.

Yep, I’m alive. Man, when you drop silent for two months, everybody complains. I don’t really have any good excuses, so I’ll just continue on like nothing happened.

Winter is over. Spring’s not quite here yet. We’re Inbetween right now.

Whether or not Spring is coming, Summer starts in exactly one week. Seasons are funny that way: they don’t wait for each other much, and they’re not patient. I have exactly one million things to do in the next week—two weeks, if I’m lucky. That would be half-a-million per week, and that might be more manageable.

Winter After-Action Report: We made it, but only by the skin of our teeth. I’ve never had paler skin than I do right now. The winter retreat season has actually been done for some time, and we’ve briefly had small times again, with rarely more than 15-20 people at meals. That ends this week. By dinnertime, Sunday, May 16th, we’ll have well over 100 people in the dining hall.

I’m moving tomorrow. Out of the basement of Loberg, home for the past 9 months, into the Boathouse BIF (BIF = Bathroom In Forest). That means the bath-house by the boat-house. That means that we’re living in the room off the side of the BIF. We’ve begun to refer to it as simply “B”. You’re welcome to come and visit anytime.

In other news, I’m taking my first few baby steps towards a narrative-enabling technology all my own. (And by the way, nobody’s commented on that essay/rant yet. You all are so modern.) A few tools have dropped in my lap, and I’m running with them. More on this later, once the new site is at least in beta. Of course, I have to find time for this when I’m not working on my million-things list. Anyone even the slightest bit interested in this?

This summer is going to be a doozy, but oh what a time we’re going to have. The sound you just heard was a frisbee-golf disc whizzing past your head. FORE!
