Hey Eyk! I love reading your writing projects. Thanks for sharing! Also, I know you gave me Ele's email address, but I lost it. Could you give it to me again? Thanks!

This is an apocryphal re-imagining of the first few chapters of Genesis, as told by Adam as he returns to Eden at the end of time, in search of Eve. It is part of a larger set of works by myself and my friend Eleanor. Some footnotes:

The "Serpent's Curse" of course is "You shall not surely die." Adam and Eve seem to believe that this is why they never died, but there are other possible explanations.

Adam and Eve are never mentioned as bearing daughters, but it stands to reason they must have.

As a part of this re-imagining, Hannah and Cain ate from the Tree of Life as children, after sneaking into Eden and bribing the fiery angelic sentinel with berries.

Adam has mangled the line, but this is from Robert Frost's "'Fire and Ice'":http://www.bartleby.com/155/2.html.
