The sickness unto life.

I missed last Friday’s update because I was back home at a wedding, and I had neither time to write nor an internet connection. Being home was great. The wedding was spectacular–friends you’ve known since the first grade don’t often get married. (I’ll pause a moment to let you parse that one.) [Took me [...]

Riches and Glory.

Yesterday was Labor Day, and the afternoon full of friends and food and games. So full, in fact, that I didn’t get to some other errands until quite a bit later than I expected. The good news: I found some excellent Labor Day clearance sales on things I’d been needing for some time, [...]

Adventures in Chicagoland.

Lots of new nifties, like the new link list on the side there, and PurpleNumber links (for fine-grained addressing) at the end of each paragraph. Let me know [...]

Civilization at Tenmile Point.

So, rather than talk about how crazy and hectic the two weeks previous to this one were, let me instead say that I spent the last three days on the southern shore of Lake Superior with some of the other operations staff from camp. Though the water and the nights were both cold, we [...]

Well, that was exciting.

Easter Sunday began at 9:30am with Steve, my ride, banging on my door. My alarm, once set for 8:30am, made not a peep. After a minute of confusion, I suddenly realized the time and remembered that church starts at 9:45am. Oops.

5 minutes later, I was clothed, though unwashed and unshaved. Too bad. [...]
